1. Information We Collect

We only collect information necessary to operate and improve our video captioning studio:

• Account Information: Your name, email address, and avatar image when you authenticate using Google Sign-In or verified Email OTP.
• Audio & Media Files: Temporary video/audio clips uploaded to generate transcriptions and synchronize karaoke subtitles.
• Billing & Transaction Logs: Credit ledger history, purchased package details, and payment reference IDs generated by payment processors (we do not store your credit card numbers or banking passwords).
• Technical Logs: IP address, browser type, and anonymous session IDs to enforce fair-usage limits and prevent automated spam.

2. How We Use and Process Your Media

When you upload a video for transcription, our server extracts the speech audio track and transmits it via encrypted HTTPS connection to our AI speech recognition inference providers (Google Gemini API / Groq Whisper).

We never sell, rent, or publicly disclose your video content. Your uploads are processed strictly for the purpose of generating your captions and returning your customized video export.

3. Data Storage & Security

User records, credit balances, and transaction history are stored securely in a structured SQLite database with Write-Ahead Logging (WAL) and atomic transactions.

Anonymous guest trial files are automatically pruned and deleted after 48 hours to minimize unnecessary data retention.

4. Communications & Email Updates

We use Resend to deliver transactional 6-digit login codes and occasional important product announcements or feature updates. You may opt out of promotional emails at any time by contacting our support team or using the unsubscribe link.

5. Cookies & Local Storage

We use essential first-party cookies (tc_session) and browser Local Storage to keep you signed in, preserve your credit balance, and save your current project drafts across browser refreshes. We do not use third-party tracking or advertising cookies.

6. Your Rights & Data Deletion

You have the right to request access to the personal data we hold about you, or to request permanent deletion of your account and associated project history.
